What Have People Told Us?

We asked a range of stakeholders for their views about trends, desired outcomes, what is working well, where are the gaps and limitations.

Community Sector Feedback

A report of a community workshop held on 19 April 2003. The workshop aimed to gather perceptions on trends affecting people of Christchurch, outcomes should we be working towards, critical factors contributing to positive outcomes and the barriers or limitations to achieving the desired outcomes, including gaps in service. One hundred and six people attended the workshop.

Findings of a survey of community providers (186 organisations) undertaken for the Community Mapping Project. The survey was conducted across Christchurch community and voluntary organisations.

Government Agencies interviews and focus groups

A report summarising the findings from a series of interviews with regional managers and CEOs of government agencies located in Christchurch. Government agencies were asked about their views on i) services achieving positive outcomes, the factors that help and hinder this success and gaps in current services ii) successful factors common to grants and contracts, the critical factors contributing to this success and also identified gaps in current grants and contracts iii) the opportunities for, and benefits of, collaboration and the barriers to increased collaboration.

Findings of a series of focus groups held with field workers and frontline workers of government agencies in Christchurch. Five focus groups were held covering each of the following sectors. The sectors were i) employment ii) health, iii) kaupapa Maori, iv) education, and v) safety and social cohesion.
